Caring for your robotic doll: a six-month routine

Silicone skin, articulated joints, and battery health — a simple maintenance routine that keeps a companion robot in top condition.

A companion robot is a long-term housemate. The routine below takes about an hour per month and prevents most of the support tickets we see.

Skin care (monthly)

Wash silicone surfaces with the pH-neutral cleanser from the Maintenance & Care Set, rinse with distilled water, and dry with the microfiber cloth. Skip alcohol-based wipes — they dry the material.

Joints and articulation (every three months)

A drop of the included joint lubricant on each major articulation, then move the joint through its full range twice. Stiffness that doesnt resolve with lubrication is a warranty case — contact us rather than forcing it.

Battery health

The platforms prefer partial charges: dock nightly, but let the battery run down to roughly 20% once a month. The app reports cell health; the Smart Charger Dock Pro adds a spare-cell bay for hot-swap sessions.

Firmware and storage

Install firmware updates within a week of release (the app notifies you). For storage beyond a month: power down, store lying flat or seated on a soft surface away from direct sunlight, at room humidity.

The kit

Everything above — cleanser, microfiber set, joint lubricant, storage bag — ships in one box as the Maintenance & Care Set. Replacement arm assemblies with calibration tools are available for every platform.
